what do i most likely have? mono, or strep throat?i am wondering if i have mono or if i have strep throat. i have 1 or 2 lymph nodes on my neck, swolen tonsols with white patches growing on them, a sore throat and somewhat of a headache, is this strep throat or mono? and btw, i already went to see a clinic and they took a blood sample and the test things are comming tomorrow. so i will know forsure tomorrow.

Sounds like strep throat to me, If you had mono you would be laying in bed and really not wanting to get up or do anything, and be wayyyy more sick then you are,

The white patches on the throat are indicative of strep throat. Some other symptoms are cough, fever, and bad breath. Usually with mono the main symptom is chronic fatigue. I would say strep which is easily treatable with antibiotics. Careful, it is contagious as is mono.

Unfortunately, you will not know until tomorrow since you already went and got the testing done. In either case, you are ill and contagious and should stay home and rest........and hope you are feeling better.
If it is strep they can give you antibiotics...........if mono, it is a virus and you just have to wait it out which can take a while if you don't take care of yourself!
