Weird white things on my tonsils. What are they?I occasionally get these weird soft white things on my tonsils. They don't really hurt or anything but I can feel when i get one. They appear to be coming out of my tonsils. I can pick them out, but I usually gag myself. Does anyone know what these strange things are?

normaly when you have white bumps on your tonsils it meanss you have strep but if its not soar i dont know. you should go to the doctor and see what he says

Sounds wierd, I would go to a doctor....it's probably not that big of a deal, just a little growth,don't freak out. =]

It is nothing to worry about. It is just solid matter getting stuck back there, like food etc. I do the same thing as you I get a q-tip and get them out.

These could be pockets of bacteria or yeast (a yeast infection of the mouth is called thrush).
Typically white spots on the tonsils are a sign of tonsillitis or infectious mononucleosis.
If it hasn't bothered you previously, and this happens a lot, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The next time you have an outbreak you may want to see an ears/nose/throat (ENT) doctor just to make sure you don't have a recurrent infection of some sort, though.

Look it up. It is old food and bacteria that gets trapped in your tonsils. Harmless and you can flick them out.

O.O I would go to the doctor.... Maybe it's....MOLD!? Just kidding! ;3) Maybe it's a disease or an infection. I would try to get them checked. How many times a month do they occur? Is it like, every week? Every month? Every year? I would still get your tonsils checked, just to be on the safe side.
Sorry that you have those! Don't pick them off unless you have to! Irritation will probably take affect if you do...
