tonsillitis and an ulcer?I have chronic viral tonsillitis, the kind that antibiotics can't cure. I'm in the middle of a bad infection right now, and three days into it i've developed something else and i have no idea what's wrong with me. i can't eat or drink anything, not even swallow saliva without intense pain. it began and lasted for 2 days as pain in the middle of my sternum with swallowing anything. it feels like there is something lodged sideways in my esophagus. i can feel whatever i swallow going down like a golf ball and it is even extremely painful to burp. i've not been able to eat for days and i'm becoming weak. now the pain has extended to my upper abdomen and feels like acid reflux. ANYTHING i try to eat or drink, even water, puts me on the floor in pain. i did some research and it said that i could have esophageal tearing from taking pain relievers with not enough water. that would make sense as i have been popping tylenol and naproxin sodium or whatever it's called to help with the tonsil pain. i'm miserable and i just wanna eat. this IS however going to help me fit into my bridesmaid dress...but really. i'm hating life and i have no idea what to do. i don't have insurance right now but i feel like i need to see a doctor. does anyone have any advice on my symptoms or ulcers?
Only God can judge.
stop taking pain pills. start eating very soft things like warm soup, and make sure the soup is very watered down so that it doesn't tear anymore, avoid things like greens that are very fibrous because the fiber will tear it even more. try eating yogurt, and maybe mix the yogurt with water to make it hurt less, i am so sorry for what has happened to you and i hope you heal fast and can eat very well.
