What does it mean if I have a sore throat on one side?I have a sore throat, but only on one side! My left tonsil and that whole side of my throat seems fine, but my right side hurts when I swallow, and I think that lymph node is swollen. i don't have a fever or any other problems, so I'm thinking it might be a minor infection that will go away on its own. My parents aren't worried, so I don't know. What could this be? has this ever happened to you and is it fatal?

that is normal!! anything simple could cause that problem. i wake up sometimes and one side of throat hurts occasionally. it could just be bacteria, or if you smoke or are around smoke, that could be the cause. if you have no fever or other symptoms, you're fine!!!

No. Its probbably some irritant irritating ur throat. but if it gets worse or if u develop other symptoms then go ot the dr.
