Tonsil Cheese. Not many know about this condition apparently and least of all my own doctor!!?Does anyone know anything about this condition or how it can be fixed? My doctor says I am imagining the 'throatie' problem I have had now for several years!! Surely someone else in the world knows something...
Its got worse for me over time and affecting my confidence when I speak to people, because I know I sometimes smell like I ate krap for my last meal.
I am obsessively hygienic orally. But there is no way I can reach that far back to the back of my throat to dislodge the unpleasant build up of suspected food particles. Rice, bread with seeds, apple skin etc are unswallowable for me and appear to lodge in my throat the most. But the list is exhaustive...meat, vegetables with any fibre, cereals, pretty much anything with texture. I cant live on soups for the rest of my life, surely? There must be someone who has cracked this condition. I am open to alternative options, if there are any????
Is there anything I can do?
Nope to the 1st 2 answers here...nothing to do with any of that. Sorry and thanks for replying anyway.
My tongue is clean.
And no, I dont snore. I weigh 74kg and stand 176cm tall, so not overweight with sleep related problem as you suggest.
As best as I can describe it. Some condition exists in my throat that narrows/ catches food particles on their way down to my stomach. Result is bits of residual food trapped in the 'no man's land' between mouth and stomach...INDEFINITELY!!...yuk
It all starts to decay I believe?? and hence the unpleasant odour from way back in my throat. At timely moments, white particles of horribleness eventually shoot out and I am able to spit them out. Otherwise, the stuff just sits there. Irritating. And always feels like I have something stuck in mu throat
that will NOT wash down with water or drinks I have tried.
Any more suggestions please??
Geez!
Thanks Lisa. But not everyone is as smart as you are. I had NO IDEA what they were called by the professionals. Is nt that what doctors study medicine for, so you can describe it in lay man terms and they come up with the 'clever' latin names. Tonsiliths! Never heard of that term in my life.

Apparently, it appears that you may have large tonsils which makes it easy for those food particles to get lodged there. Do you snore when you sleep? Also, have someone observe you while you are sleeping. You might have sleep apnea. That's an indication for removal of your tonsils. So once your tonsils get removed, then I think your problems are solved.

Stop calling it that and call it by its proper name, which is tonsiliths. Maybe your doctor will believe you if you don't make up silly names. Tonsiliths are not imaginary, and they look and smell just as you say, and they are a common problem.
