Single white bump on tonsil - NOT tonsil stones! What is this? Can't find answer anywhere on web.?For the past year or so, I have been having problems with these white bumps appearing one at a time on my throat (tonsil area) every few months. They seem to be filled with pus and hurt very badly when I eat, drink, swallow, or even not doing any of those things! It is awful. However, I know it is NOT tonsil stones - only one appears at a time, they don't smell, and they definitely wouldn't fall off if I tried to get them with a Q-tip. It's more like a blister or a canker sore (which I get in my mouth a lot).
The bump lasts for about a week and then goes away on its own. It's really painful, however. Excruciatingly so. The area around the tonsil gets red, but it's not tonsillitis because it's only one side and it doesn't really swell, it's just red. I don't have a cold or virus (that I know of) and no other symptoms. Thank you!

I have no idea what that is, but I recommend that you check this website: http://symptoms.webmd.com/
If that doesn't tell you, you should probably go to a doctor.
Feel better! :)
