Has anyone had problems with adult tonsil surgery or septoplasty?I am a 25 year old male. I had my tonsils removed and a septoplasty about a month ago. Salty foods like bacon and cheese taste different now. Sweet foods like candy and ice cream taste the same. My doctor told me it was not related, but I have to dis-agree. Has anyone else experinced this?

I had UVPP surgery (took out tonsils, reshaped roof of my mouth and soft palate), about 8 years ago and it took awhile for foods to taste the same. Be patient.
