Has any body been diagnosed with viral tonsillitis?I Started with normal Toncillitis which then turned into a viral infection giving me a 24 hr continus head ache like the hangover of all hangovers. I have now had it for 9days and nights with just painkillers for treat ment which is giving me an gastric ulcer, has any body out there any idea just how long this can go on for. I really need some help here.

Me, i had it for 10 days, although i had antibiotics prescribed, it was bad, i took nurofen painkillers and drank loads of water, gargled with moth wash and waited. I then got fluid on my ear and a chest infection. Wow that was good... go get some antibiotics and hang in there...

I got that once. Mine lasted 7 days. I just laid in bed and moaned. The headaches were terrible. I had taken vacation for a week when I got it. Be patient, you will get better. Antibiotics may or may not help, with it being viral. May just take time. I did not take antibiotics.
