Frequent Tonsil Inflammation? Now, I know most would conjure this up to tonsillitis, but I'm in too much panic/denial to resort to that, so I'm practically begging all those health-wizards here.
Now, as of late, I've had this history of my tonsils getting some kind of infection. Every time, I'd always notice early on because of this small discomfort specifically on them alone, but it was always so minute that I'd ignore it. However, within maybe a day or two, my tonsils would become so inflamed, so painful, that I couldn't even talk, & breathing become an arduous task.
I've had to take antibiotics of some sort for each time this has occurred, & the dosage was always the same & it was always one pill every morning for...I believe a couple weeks, if not just one week.
Now, if its simply an infection, why do I seem to consistently get it? I'm dealing with the beginnings of it right now, which will mark a third time within a year that this has happened to me. Is it really just some ridiculous coincidence, or could I really have to surgically get my tonsils removed...?

you should be bringing this out to ENT specialist to check how far your tonsils are being infected , this is not a simple case because chronic tonsillitis may go to a very worst complication like rheumatic heart disease .

Tonsillectomy should be considered if Group A β-hemolytic streptococcus (GABHS) tonsillitis recurs repeatedly (> 6 episodes/yr, > 4 episodes/yr for 2 yr, > 3 episodes/yr for 3 yr) or if acute infection is severe and persistent despite antibiotics. Other criteria for tonsillectomy include obstructive sleep disorder, recurrent peritonsillar abscess, and suspicion of cancer.
The germs that cause viral and bacterial tonsillitis are contagious. Therefore, the best prevention is to practice good hygiene.
* Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently, especially after using the toilet and before eating.
* Avoid sharing food, drinking glasses or utensils.
* Wash your hands after sneezing or coughing.
