Cant eat or drink with Strep throat & Tonsillitis..? Please help!!?I found out yesterday (saturday) That I have strep throat and Tonsillitis.
Thursday was when I started feeling horrible. *Headache, Throat)
By friday, I could barely swallow any water and I was starving. Saturday I couldn't eat or drink anything,
We went to the doctor and found out about this,
I've been taking the meds since yesterday.
But I still can't eat or drink.
What can i do!

depending which medication the doctor prescribed, you should begin
to feel better in 48-72 hrs. if after 72 hrs. you don't feel better, call
your doctor's office. if you absolutely, can't swallow liquids, you'll
have to be fed intravenously.

Try drinking room-temperature water, or warm, not burning hot, tea. If you can't manage either of those, call your doctor.
If you can, great! Tea (or even water) should calm your throat down for a little bit and allow you to try to eat something.
I remember what strep throat is like and that it hurts like HELL to try to eat, but drinking tea helped me a lot. I absolutely would chug the stuff because it made me feel better for a while.
