Does smoking cause tonsilloliths (tonsil stones)?I've been smoking Newports for about 3 years now, Marbs and Camels before that for 2 years. Recently I've been smoking more than usual, almost a pack a day and I have been starting to cough up tonsil stones (little white/yellow balls about the size of a food crumb), I hear this as well as yellow phlem is due to an infection. Are these caused by my increased smoking?
Thank you for the info, your old man sounds wise, maybe that is why I am sneezing a lot lately....or maybe its just the spring, is a doctor's visit necessary you think?

your little balls of phlegm, are being brought up form the small air waves, in the broncill, this will come up, everyday from the steam in your morning shower, no big deal. if you have an infection in the throat, or in the lung, your phlegm will be dark brown, with a red hue to it, or a red color in the phlegm. you may just have the starting of a sinus infection, some antibiotic, ampacillian, 500 mill. grams 3xs a day for 15 days and your have in perfect health again.
