Do I have Cancer in the back of my mouth?I'm 20 years old and have been chewing tobacco since 18. I realize the risk factor, but as a dumb adolesant, i chose to anyway.
- I want to explain where this is located... If you open your mouth and look in towards the back of your throat, where you're tongue starts to go down your throat, on each side there is a flap of skin covering your Tonsils, i believe. The lump i have is located on the right side of my mouth, under the bottom of my tonsil, in between my tongue and my throat wall. I cannot see the bump in the mirror because my tongue is in the way but I can feel it with my finger and sometimes when i swallow. I just realized this 3 days ago. its about the size of an M&M and pretty hard. It is the same texture as the skin in my mouth.
- I am deeply concerned about this, i hope it isn't cancer. I don't feel sick and its not painful, but it has me worried sick. ( i know i should see a doctor but i want to hear what you guys have to say about it before i do that)

This could be very serious, you should consult a doctor, lumps and a leathery texture in between your lip and teeth are not a good sign

if I was you, i wouldn't worry, it might of been been something hot you drank, that made the skin get irritated but if your really concerned i would just go to a throat specialist and see what they think
