Can you still have tonsil stones after tonsillectomy?I recently had a tonsillectomy, so far everything looks good. However I was wondering if it's still possible to have tonsil stones or food stuck in the back of my throat.

Nope. Tonsil stones are formed in the open tonsil crypts, which are little pockets in your tonsils. These are removed during tonsillectomy. People with severe tonsil stones that cause recurrent infections are encouraged to have tonsillectomies for just this reason.
