Am I getting strep throat or tonsillitis?Over the past day or so, I've been feeling a bit under the weather. Slight congestion, but no post nasal drip or runny nose. Today, the back of my throat feels swollen and I looked with a flashlight. It looks like my tonsils have little white spots on them, more so on the right side, and my tongue is coated with a whitish coat. I'm not sure what it is, and I don't know really what to do. Help?

it sounds to me like you have tonsillitis. strep throat is more severe because it comes with canker sores in the mouth and on the tongue and around the throat. gargle with salt water a few times every night and rinse after gargling. lay off foods and drinks with citric acid (: hope you feel better soon
