What can i do for strep throat?I think i have strep throat( swollen tonsils, sore throat, with white "blisters" on tonsils) and i can't afford $ 175 for an office call to my dr. I have no insurance, so i am outta luck on that.
Does anyone know of any natural, or alternative remedies for strep throat?

If you have Strep Throat you will need an antibiotic to properly resolve it.
However, if you are uncertain, try gargling with 1 tablespoon of salt in 4 ounces of warm water (don't swallow) every few hours to ease the discomfort, along with an anesthestic spray or lozenges such as Chloraseptic.
If it does not get better in a few days, or get worse, locate a charity clinic in your area.

Strep throat is nothing to fool around with. If you can't afford the Dr then I suggest you go to the nearest clinic or ER. Most states have some kind of insurance you can apply for right in the clinic or ED that will even pay for the visit from the day to fill out the application and even if you don't qualify you can make payments. Only private hospitals can turn you away if you can't pay. Any hospital that takes medicare is not private and they have to treat you. There's no reason you have to pay the bill in one lump sum the hospital will work with you and your Dr might too. You can also try CVS, many of them now have nurse practicioners in the store who will examine you for little or no fee and most prescriptions are only $ 4.

you will need to go to the Dr. but i for some reason have always had a problem with getting strep throat alot. One thing that helps clean it so good is peroxyide, mix a cap with a very little bit of warm water rinse and spit out, i always brush my teeth right after. I never mix mine with water i always rinse with straight peroxide but they tell you that you should mix it. It gets that yack out your mouth
