Taking antibiotics for bacterial tonsillitis, am I still contagious?I'm about halfway through the course of antibiotics and the tonsillitis has cleared up loads. I'm sure I'm prob still too contagious to go kiss anyone, but what I mean is, is it okay for me to start disinfecting my desk & room etc. so that I won't reinfect myself or pass it onto my family, or is there no point cus I still might be spreading the bacteria? Thanks.

you are contagious untill u no longer have the tonsilitis

General rule of thumb is, once your on antibiotics for a full 24/h you are no longer considered contagious. Granted you don't want to spit in peoples faces or have intercourse but for the most part your good.
