I have Pharyngitis...What is this?Recently I have a sore throat, it is wheezy, I have shortage of breath and problems breathing. I went to the doctors and they said I have pharyngitis and tonsillitis. Due to be having problems breathing. They said it could turn into laringitis.

What are pharyngitis, tonsillitis and laringitis? What could my shortage of breath/problems breathing be due to which of these?

Celica
pharyngitis is an inflammation to your pharynx. Tonsillitis is an inflammation to you tonsil and laryngitis means your larynx inflamed. Tonsillitis causes sore throat and pain due to swollen tonsil glands that is located at the wall of your airway opening (at the end of your tongue).. It may be swollen big enough to narrow your airway passage. So you ended up with shortness of breath. The pharyngitis is maybe due to your tonsillitis. The infection from your tonsils began to affect your pharynx. And then it will turn to laryngitis if your pharyngitis left untreated. Pharynx and Larynx are parts of your airway passage. My advice is you have to finish the antibiotic the doctor gave to you. You don't want the problem to continue and become more severe. Drink a lot of fluid and take vitamin C 500mg to boost your immune system.
