What is this swollen lymph node for in neck? Please read all!?I have this picture of where it is located on my neck below :

You can see I made a black circle where it is - although its kinda hard to see.
What could this be though and what is it for? I had chronic tonsillitis to the point all the symptoms went away except I had really bad infected tonsils that wouldnt go away. The pathologist said they were fine and the ENT said it was normal to have swollen lymph nodes for 6 mos or more.
This one is kinda big... maybe an inch or so. Its been there for I don't know how long but it feels soft and movable. What should I do? I no longer have insurance. What is this lymph node for?
I don't seem to have swollen arm or groin lymph nodes, but I do still have a few swollen lymph nodes Im sure are left from the surgery but are smaller.
ALSO!!! -- The lymph node seems to be on that large muscle in my neck going from like my ear to the base

There's not a lot you can do, besides keeping an "eye" on it. If it increases in size at all, or perhaps if it doesn't reduce in size over time, see your doctor or ENT again. If you don't trust their opinion(s), get a second. Couldn't hurt, this is your life we're talking about after all.
It's a good possibility that it feels larger than it really is. Did your doctors mention how large they thought it was? Typically soft moving lymph nodes are healthy.
