what is the function of our Tonsils?is it more beneficial to have them removed early on so that they dont get inflamed etc in the future

supposedly they capture germs and junk to keep you healthier...and no they should be left alone unless they are a definitite problem, why undergo an unecesary surgery?

the tonsils act as part of the immune system to help protect against infection. In particular, they are believed to be involved in helping fight off pharyngeal and upper respiratory tract infections.
