What are this symptoms pointing to , herpes ?just recently I have been experiencing backache, tonsillitis and headaches as well as a fever and i just got a cold sore i think on the left side of my face...these things seem to be pointing to herpes I'm not sexually active or anything freaky please help me know what it is thanks

just to add more to my query...I also suspect my tooth brush was mistakenly used by someone with HIV (I know that person has it) who has developed a habit of forgetting ..also in the past I was sexually abused as a child but I was given some medication of which I was too young to understand but i knew I had to take it to get better and it was prescribed by an experienced doctor but now am in doubt just what if they doctors did not manage to spot something else please help

please can someone answer my question as soon as possible I cannot live my life because of this issue.I'm having more cold sores eg my feet I think and my fingers as well as my thighs. I don't know if this is stress or just plain herpes (of which I'm clueless of how I contracted)

The only way you can know for sure what you have is to get tested..You should ask your dr to test you for every thing...Also stress will make you break out if you have herpes.

I hate to break this to you but cold sores are caused by a type of herpes called oral herpes. They are usually triggered to break out when your immune system is down (illnesses), or when you are under stress. The tonsillitis, fever and headaches could have triggered the out break on your face. You can have cold sores even if your not sexually active, they are very easily passed on by innocently kissing some one that has cold sores. Cold sores rarely come from having sex of any kind, they also don't commonly occur away from wet places on your body. This may not be cold sores on your feet, fingers or thighs.
It could be just the flu or a very bad cold coming on. If you're not sexually active (never had sex of any kind), then you're not likely going to have herpes below the waist.
Genital herpes is an std, it's usually passed on when you have some kind of sexual activity (mainly oral sex or regular sex) with some one that has herpes. Stds are also not commonly passed on by sharing objects. The doctor most likely only gave you medication as a precaution when you were a child.
These are not symptoms of herpes. You are probably just under a lot of stress from your illnesses. If you really want to know for sure then you should get tested by your doctor and have your tonsils checked out too, it could also be strep throat.
