it could be tonsilitis... i had that when i was 17 and had to get my tonsils removed... it wasnt bad at all... they put me under... now i have no more problems...

Wyah
Duh it's tonsillitis, but it sounds like strep again. Get it checked out again, and if you keep having problems, check into a tonsillectomy :P

Dr. will usually treat that as a strep throat and put you on antibiotics. But if it does flair up over and over again they usually remove them. You should ask you mom to take you back to the DR. asap.

Buggie
the white sores are infection on your tonsels which means its strep... and unfortunatly getting rid of your tonsels wont cure the strep.....

Infection of the tonsils can be due to several causative agents, including streptococcus or strep throat, other bacteria, viruses including infectious mononucleosis etc., kissing, sharing drinks, spoons, droplet infection etc, are the ways to transmit so be careful about them and avoid them and consult with your doctor as needed, tonsils are a collection of lymphoid tissue a very important component of body defence mechanism. Gargles and spit 4 to 5 times daily with warm salt water (one spoon salt in on large glass of warm water) usually will help in relieving minor discomfort, for strep etc., you must consult with your doctor

it is an infection on your tonsils and you should have them taken out. you'll feel better after it's done. see another doctor for a second opinion, they should listen to you and do this procedure which isn't a big deal but will make you feel much better after it's all done.
Take care.
