getting your tonsils removed will not ruin your vocal cords as they are not close to each other. you might not be able to sing for a while due to a sore throat

Why do you want your tonsils removed? Usually, they'll only removed them if they're chronically infected.......your vocal cords have nothing to do with your tonsils......won't hurt it or help it. The tonsils and vocal cords are in two different locations.

It won't ruin your vocal cords, but it can effect the way you speak. I had mine out in March and I still can't talk right! My ovula is still a swollen, don't know if that will ever go away. Anywho, I think that's why I can't speak right. It's the sounds: a, o, ou's sounds that come out sounding really wierd. My husband thinks it's funny, but I find it frustrating and sad.
