There is white on my tonsils?my tonsils are swollen and have white spots all over them. I have been sick for over a week. I went to the doctor with a sore throat a week ago and i didn't have strep or mono but they gave me an antibiotic anyway. I havent been able to sleep or eat. Im in constant pain, i have a fever. I have a headace and my ears hurt. I have no idea whats wrong with me, any ideas?

I think it is tonsillitis. Your tonsils go white because they are infected. Go to your doctor to get medicine so it will fight the bacteria.Years ago,you got your tonsils chopped off because there was no such thing as medication in those days.

Call the physician who prescribed your antibiotics and let them know you are not better. If it is bacterial infection and the right antibiotics were prescribed you should be feeling better.
Either you may need another antibiotic or possibly, if this has happened alot in the past, you may have a resistant strain to what the doctor prescribed.
(been there years ago and they finally took my tonsils out when I was 18! (for my spring break fun))

Gargle with mild salt solution, also.
