sore throat/tonsils weired sore on tongue?my tonsils got reallly swollen and i got an antibiotic and it stopped hurting but my tonsils were still pretty big...now about 5 days later my throat is starting to hurt again but its weird it hurts to stick out my tongue and to press it against my tonsils i put my finger back there and i think i felt like a sore the back of my tongue what could this be? is it possibly related to my tonsils?
i did finish my pills the infection seemed to be gone ..the weird thing is it wasnt strep so i dont know if the antibiotic worked or if it was a coincidence that it started going away at the same time

first of all you have to take all of your antibiotic for it to work otherwise it will return.
Next the antibiotic kills good bacteria as well as the bad and they fail to tell you this, but whenever you take an antibiotic, you should eat about a tablespoon of yogurt with active cultures each day ( or more if you like it ) to keep your good bacteria in check.
You could have thrush which you will see white bumps in your mouth this comes from yeast and often sugar from milk.
If you did not finish your pills do so. Then see how it goes, if you are still taking them and haven't stopped-call your Dr. office they should not necessarily need to see you if you tell them what is going on- they may just call in something else.
Get some yogurt start on it right away.
