Sore throat/ swollen tonsils & oral sex?

These are useful and collceted by kong!
Sore throat/ swollen tonsils & oral sex?I met this guy, and we fooled around a bit. I gave him oral one night (swallowing) , and the next morning was experiencing a sore throat. I immediately asked him if he has a known STD, and of course he said no. My throat got pretty bad, but started getting better after a couple days. Didn't think anything of it. I gave him oral again, and my throat got worse the next morning. I finally went to the doctor and he told me I had a sinus infection and put me on antibiotics (amoxicillin). I took all my meds on time, three times a day for 10 days. I took my last pill yesterday morning. I met up with the guy, gave him oral again and strike 3, I wake up with a sore throat this morning. I thought it might have been coincidence, but have since gotten a bit smarter.

Symptoms:
Fever, headache, skin irritation, swollen tonsils with white spots, sore throat, weakness

I am NOT contagious, which is the kicker. I have since been around lots of people, and should have passed it along if it were. I have never had this problem with other guys, and have had unprotected sex with this guy a few times before. He is not sick at all. I've also never had any problems with my tonsils before, other than the occasional Strep Throat when I was younger, and Mono about 4 years ago. What could act this quick, within about 8 hours? Oral thrush? Std? I'm clueless.

Have you ruled out physical irritation? Maybe his penis rubbed against your throat enough to cause some minor inflammation? Sometimes it's hard to notice that you need some extra saliva during the passion of the moment.

It might also be you already had a case of strep throat starting. Then the oral sex added enough extra factors to it to keep it inflamed for awhile longer. Give yourself a week off with no symptoms before trying oral sex again. Make sure your throat is back at 100%. If giving head causes you pain again have a candid talk with your doctor and a couple more tests.

Good Luck.
