Sore throat. Blood in saliva. Hard to swallow. pharyngitis? My mom woke up
and she says she has a very sore throat.
she says she feels as if she has a "lump" in her throat
she had a bit of blood in her saliva last night.
and she says its hard to swallow.
she also has a bit of a temperature.
shes going to the doctors in about half an hourr.
i was looking on the internet, and it says she might have pharyngitis or tonsillitis.
i just wondered what you think
do you think she has either of them?
thankss.♥ :)

tonsillitis does not cause the patient to cough up blood. So it could be pharyngitis (aka strep throat). However, shoe does not have any coughs, and temperature is not spiking. So it is probably laryngitis, of viral nature.
