Sick Child with Tonsillitis?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them
Sick Child with Tonsillitis?I have a sick 2 y/o who is sick with one thing or another. She had a ton of ear issues, resolved with tubes and lately high temps (tonsillitis twice in one month). Is this a common thing for little ones. My 10 y/o is never sick and he wasn't too sick as a toddler either

Michael, ATC
I would not say that it is common yet the ear issue is common as quite a few children need tube treatments for ear conditions. The frequency of her tonsillitis could be an nose or throat condition where her body is having trouble fighting off pathogens. Allergies could also be a concern with the frequency of her tonsillitis. Remember, the tonsils are part of your lymph system which help fight infections. Go see a pediatrician if this problem does not get resolved.

Dude, Michale gave some great advice. I was hopeing it wasn't only my girlfriend and I (and a few books) that knew about how it can be a bad thing to remove tonsils.

Please look at all the options you can. Both Eastern and Western styles of treatments.
