Remedies for Tonsillitis?I have some really severe tonsillitis! It began as a fever, in which my temperature was frequently 103, I had the shakes and achy muscles, exhaustion and was dizzy and delirious, spending days at a time in bed. Now that's all passed due to Extra strength pain killers and Ibuprofen, I've finally got myself to the doctors because my glands are in agony, I can't swallow or talk, and they have gone white, pussy and blistered and frequently bleed! My doctor has given me a course of Penicillin but I'm seeing no changes so far and I'm getting desperate, does anyone have any helpful home remedies? Thank you! X

See another doctor, or specialist and don't drink any milk or milk products, just water instead.

It`s almost certain that you need your tonsils out. Why has your doctor not recommended this?

well i had it and they said have them taken out but i did't want to do that so what i did is drink waterand A glass of pure boiled milk, mixed with a pinch uf turmeric powder and pepper powder, should be taken every night for three nights in the treatment of this condition. It will bring beneficial results and it small potions of food not loads at once but if it is really bad go to the doctor and he helped a lot with me hope i helped.

A sweet honey tea. The honey will soothe and acts as a natural anti septic. You can add any flavours you like but my favorite is-
weak tea
plenty of honey
lemon
fresh sprig of rosemary.
This combination seems to also help a stuffy head.
Option 2
Honey milk shake made with yogurt
mix plan yogurt, plenty of honey and milk to get the right consistency again this will soothe your throat but also get some food in you to build up you strength to help you get well. (can add banana for more flavour)
