the swelling is annoying but the doc will give you a prescription for the pain/swelling

Aren't you a bit young for having wisdom teeth? Anyway, it should not hurt during the procedure. They will send you home with pain medication because when the Novocaine wears off, then it's going to hort a lot.

I've only had one wisdom tooth removed, and it was just some pain killer to numb any pain, they pulled it, no problems.

I'm not quite sure why people are afraid of getting their wisdom teeth out. It's really not as bad as people make it sound. Depending on the dentist, they either have you really high on laughing gas or fully put you to sleep during the operation. When you go home, they give you pain medication to take for a while. The only bad thing is that you can only eat simple foods, such as pudding or luke warm drinks for about two days. After that, you begin to eat normally again.
It's not bad at all. You'll do just fine. =)

How do you have wisdom teeth at 14? They put you to sleep for the surgery. It isn't the surgery that hurts it is afterwards that it hurts, after the surgery.
