Is it Necesary to get Tonsils removed because of Tonsil stones?I have had tonsil stones ever since I could remember...they are really large and nasty and gross and I hate them,..but is this a valid reason to remove tonsils? If it isn't...what is a way I can stop getting tonsil stones? Thanksss!!

well its not NECESSARY but if the tonsil stones cause you pain and bother you often then it is a valid reason to have your tonsils out.
skip your regular dr (most times they don't even know what tonsil stones are) and make an appointment directly with an ENT (ear nose and throat dr). the ENT is the one that determines if your tonsils should be removed and the one that does the surgery so they are the best ones to go to.
