Is constantly having tonsil stones come up a good reason for having a tonsillectomy?I have been having tonsil stones come up about once a week for the past two years and they are becoming a problem. I am 13 years old and I was just wondering if maybe a tonsillectomy is right for me.

having tonsil stones is an extremely good reason to have a tonsillectomy BUT at your age its very common to get them and they may or may not go away with in a couple more years so an ENT (ear, nose, and throat dr) may want to hold off on doing it to make sure you aren't going to out grow it.
definitely go see an ENT to discuss it though.
