i keep getting strep throat...why?!?almost every year i get strep at least three times. this all has been happening since three years ago. i now have had it 7 times within the past three years. i have it now.. its to the point where i know the symptoms so well that i know when i first get it.
i went to the doctors two weeks ago and got prescribed penicillin for my strep throat have been taking them, but now two weeks later im now getting white blotches on the back of my throat. every other time i have taken the med. in the beginning it has never gotten worse while taking them, but only better.
i have had mono once too and they said that if i keep getting strep they might take my tonsils out.. but i don't understand that concept because you can still get strep without tonsils.
why do i keep getting strep and what should i do about the white blotches?

The white blotches are a symptom of strep. If they're not you may have gotten thrush from all the antibiotics. Getting your tonsils out sounds like the way to go. When I was younger I got strep a lot (just like you) and got really sick from it. After I had my tonsils out I haven't gotten it since.
