how long does it take to recover from having your tonsils taken out?I had my tonsils taken out on Wednesday and i'm really struggling with the pain, I was wondering how long it takes to recover? As it hurts so badly, I can't swallow which means i'm finding it hard taking my painkillers. Does anyone know an easier way for me to take my tablets? Thanks.

can you crush the pills and mix it in with some jelly or something soft that would be easier to swallow? I had my tonsils out so long ago, I remember the agony of trying swallow and it was painful. I hope you can take the pain meds somehow and feel better.
