Help I'm on my 3rd different Antibiotic for tonsillitis!?And I'm wondering when will I ever get it to go away! its been like
1/10/08 Ive been on first...
AMOXICLLIN 500 MG
then.. ERY-TAB 333MG EC TAB
then...now I'm on AMOX-CLAV 500MG (generic for Augmentin 500mg tab Just started these yesterday as I had puss on my Tonsils. This has happened before but usually it goes away after the second dose. I'm confused how much longer of this nonsense!
I'm getting these medications from my family practitioner general practice doctor.
Im 29 years old have had this sinse I was like 15 years old!
I have HMO insurance to I have to get a referal from my general practice doctor, so its up to him to see a ENT doctor. I know sucks!

Go see an ENT if you aren't already. I thinks it's time to get them taken out.

How old are you? Looks like you've had a few episodes of tonsilitis before. If it continues to recur and non-responsive to antibiotics, doctors usually recommend removing the tonsil. It happened to me when I was 8 years old. I had tonsilectomy and have been doing well since.

Sometimes it just takes a while for the right antibiotic to work, are you feeling any better?
Also, as aforementioned, go see an ENT.

Penesillion? That's the best way to go unless you're allergic to it, which a lot of people are.
But I had them same thing, I had it 7 times in two and a half months, so I got mine removed, haven't had it since.
