chronic sore throat for over 6 months on right side?I've had a chronic sore throat for over 6 months on the right side of my throat. I've been to the ENT and had my tonsils removed b/c i had a bunch of nasty tonsil stones. My throat is still sore though. I went back to the ENT and they gave me prednisone and they told me to take mucinex. I've been on it for a week thought and no improvement. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Since the tonsils have been removed and further treatment is not working than seek a second opinion.

I had that kind of thing once maybe even longer than 6 months and I got worried. Doctors couldn't see anything at all. Finally I would just keep a piece of hard candy in my mouth and eventually it went away. Never know if that's what helped but you could try the candy thing. It kind of keeps your throat moist.
