Can your tonsils and adenoids really grow back?

Can your tonsils and adenoids really grow back?My mom was telling me that your adenoids can grow back a few years after being removed. And then a few months ago I was talking to my GP(Grandpa) and he told me the same thing but also added that the tonsils can grow back as well. I had the two removed when I was about 5yrs old, and I've been having lots of issues breathing through my nose lately. I've been to the ENT and he gave me a needle in my nose and it cleared up the issue for a few months, but now the issues are back with a vengeance. Can these really grow back? Will I have to go through the surgery all over again?

In a part your grandpa and your mother are right. However not completely because tonsils don't always grow back once removed and if they do they grow partially. Sometimes in a tonsillectomy some tissue is left behind and from there they might start to grow a little but never completely. I believe is the same with your adenoids; if some tissue remains they might start to grow partially.
