Any suggestions for post surgery when having your tonsils removed as an adult?I'm 31 and I'm scheduled to have my tonsils removed 10 days from now. A heck of a way to bring in the New Year. I am becoming more and more nervous from reading experiences online from other adults who have had the procedure done. Can anyone offer some advice on "healing aids" that might make the recovery process more tolerable?
Emily
Just make sure you have help so that you can take your meds and sleep it off. Sleep is really the best thing for speeding up the healing process. Also, a wedge pillow so that you sleep at an incline might be helpful, and don't try to rush getting back to solid foods. Trust me, being hungry is much better than being in pain.
