Yes, you can. Strep throat is not necessarily an infection of the tonsils - it's a bacterial infection of the throat. It can be treated with a simple course of antibiotics, but you aren't immune simply because you have no tonsils.

Yes unfortunately, I'm walking proof of that. I get strep once every other year sometimes once or twice in one year and I had my Tonsils removed when I was a young child.
