Can you have strep throat without a fever?

Other people asked questions on various topics, and are still
waiting for answer. Would be great if you can take a sec and
answer them
Can you have strep throat without a fever? It's probably a dumb question, but... how prevelent is the presence of a fever with strep? I work at a hospital and one of my patients had strep throat on Tuesday. Yesterday and today I have had a very sore/raw/swollen throat, but no cough. It is hard for me to sleep (breathe) at night and my muscles are unusually sore. All that, but I have no fever. What are the odds?

PS: I also don't have tonsils or adenoids, but I have had strep at least a half-dozen times since they were taken out. Part of the joy of working at a hospital.
