Can an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon remove Tonsils?I had an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon remove my Wisdom Teeth and now I am having Tonsil issues. I got really attached to my Oal and Maxillofacial Surgeon. I was wondering can he remove my Tonsils? He is on staff at his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice as well as the Hospital.

An MD degree gives permission to remove a lot of things. Why not ask WHY instead of CAN?

Ask if there are non-surgical alternatives; is there any rush or requirement? JUST SUPPOSE your body needs your tonsils. Are you going to have them re-attached?
