Can I still get strep and tonsilitis even though my tonsils were removed?My throat is starting to get extremely sore today and my boyfriend said the back of my throat is looking white. I had my tonsils removed because they were constantly swollen and i was getting strep and tonsilitis alot. He said that my throat is white in the back by the uvula. It really hurts like strep and i wanted to know what the chances are of getting strep or tonsilitis with no tonsils?

You can't get tonsillitis because you've had them removed, but you can get strep at anytime!

Yep ,you can still get strep,sucks too.Why take them out if you can still get it???
