Bleeding tonsil (one side only)?Hello, It's 5:30 am and I woke up, opened my mouth and saw that my right tonsil is swollen and bleeding, it looks like I have a blood clot on the top but it's pretty swollen, I don't feel much pain, just discomfort but that's about it, the left tonsil is perfectly fine as of now, but it's my right one I'm a little worried about, there was a little bit or white substance but i removed it and now it's just bloody and swollen, any help would be greatly appreciated. I looked at pictures of tonsillitis and it's not quite like that...just more red and bloody than anything (but it's not like I'm gushing blood or anything like that, just a little bit)

Go get seen. Tonsils as well as appendixes are organs that filter and are full of toxics and poisons. If you have one about to burst, you need to get seen right away. I would go to the ER right now.

I thought to do this once, but I went to my doctor, and he said that they were WHITE BLOOD CELLS, which are trying to make it better.

go to the doc. only he can say whats wrong after examining u.
meanwhile u can gargle with warm salt water. it helps reduce pain n swelling n is a mild bacteriostatic.
mayb u have tonsilitis or quincy...
