Any home remedies for wisom teeth removal pain?I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed 5 days ago, and the pain I am still in is unbearable. I have been taking co-cadomol painkillers from the hospital and nurofen. I have had so many painkillers over the last few days that I constantly feel nauseous and fainty. My throat has been been very swollen since the surgery and I can feel the tonsils at the back of my tongue. Please any remedies for jaw pain, sore throat or anything to do wtih wisdom teeth removal would be great!
Thanks

Put a small peice of fresh sage - who cares just pick it off one at the grocery store, its about 1 cubic Cm - and hold it near the swelling between your teeth. It works faster than any medication.

Hi i feel for you as i had my two bottom ones taken out last week and thankfully havent suffered as bad as i thought, i dont know if it will help but if you can try gargling with salt water. they may have told you that when they were removed? i was told to gargle with salt water, take co-codamol and ibuprofen. i dont think you can take any better painkillers unless on prescription from your gp. if you can though, try the salt water. hope it eases soon. take care x

warm salt and water mouthwash 3 to 5 times a day hope to decrease the soreness
external ice packs help too
if the pain becomes more next 2 days you need to see your dr. immediately, you might be suffering from a condition called dry socket which happens in some people post extraction

The pain should not be that bad after 5 days - you most likely have an infection or dry socket.
Go back to your dentist for a follow-up appointment.
In the meantime wear ice packs, and take advil or motrin (the IB Profen reduces inflammation).
