what is the best way to help from getting food stuck in the pockets in the back of the throat of tonsils?

Hi,I did the following:
what is the best way to help from getting food stuck in the pockets in the back of the throat of tonsils?after eating. i have trouble with it lodging in the back of my throat and if not got out it causes an odor and what is that called and how can i stop that rom happening

Try to drink lots of water after your meal or even better, be sure you drink a couple gulps of liquid after each time you swallow.

They are called tonsil stones. Food gets trapped in the pockets of the tonsils and form this thick white whatever and it smells awful. I get it when I eat anything with red sauce like spagetti or pizza. I've found if I put a little suger on the sauce it doesn't occur. But it is different with everyone and not everyone get the stones. Find what foods causes it to happen for you. And if there isn't a particular food, then go see your doc. An ENT doc.
