What do these white dots on my tonsils mean?I have a bunch of white dots on my tonsils,
last time that happened i had mono,
but i know i cant get that twice,
so its it tonsilitis or strep?
obviously i'm going to go to the doctors but i'm just curious right now.

A lot of times the white dots, are a sign of strep.

The white dots are sites of bacterial colonization. You're seeing pus. It's dead white blood cells and bacteria mainly.

White marks on your tonsils means that you have an infection and you need medication to get rid of it.

The thing is you CAN get mono twice. Sometimes mono never leaves your body and it can show up again later. In other words you are not always completely cured of it. It could be tonsilits or strep. Think about your symptoms and that will help you and a doctor determine what it is.

it may be mono again if that happened before, it go be strep throat as well I had the samething when I had strep not sure on tonsilitis but the doctor will be able to tell you....hope you feel better
