Tonsillitis?I know I have tonsillitis, but I also know the doctors must figure out what type of tonsillitis I have. (bacterial or viral)
That means a throat swab... I CAN'T handle those.
Is there ANY other way?

Nope sorry thats the only way.
If you don't want to go the doctors gargle with salt water and ride it out.
If you tell the doctor you've been throwing up too, then he might not test and just give you an antibiotic, but do you want to take one if you don't need it

well when i was a kid i came down with tonsillitis a lot. my answer only help if you get it frequently. if you do i recommend that you get you tonsils removed its a short painless procedure and it is now preformed at an outpatient clinic. the downside is no solid food for a few days to a week the longest depending on how fast you heal. about the throat swabs though i hated them as much as you and its just something you have to do sorry.

bacterial will have white pustules on the glands, if not, it could go either way
