tonsil stone?Ever since I was 9 or so, I have been having these things called tonsil stones. You get them when your tonsils are very pitted, and food gets stuck in one of the pits and bacteria grows on it. Yeah, I know, it's disgusting! But the worst part is that i can never seem to get them out and they make my breath smell like garbage, cat poop, and something dead all in one wonderful little package of freshness. Please help me~

what about getting your tonsils taken out

Yeah... I used to get these all the time... when I had tonsils. I would put the back end of my toothbrush on my tonsil and push lightly and the little buggers would pop out. Disgusting, I know, but it works. Any yes they do STINK!! Have fun.

The only treatment for tonsil stones is a tonsillectomy. A tonsillectomy is the removal of your tonsils. Not a bad idea if your choking on the stones, but not advisable. Your tonsils are a first line of defense for fighting bacteria, but if you say bacteria s invading the pits then eventually they will fall victim. Tonsils don't produce much antigens (immune system secretions) after the age of 4, so losing them is not a major problem.
