Throat infection with yellow spots around tonsils/ Temp of 95.6?My daughter had a high fever last night of 102. I gave tylenol and it brought it down. I now noticed that there are some yellow/white spots around tonsils and surrounding area. I took her temeprature and it is at 95.6. I am planning on taking her to the doctor tomorrow but am wondering if someone knows what it could be and if I should be alarmed and go to emergency room. My daughter is 5yrs old. She is behaving normal but is complaining of some throat pain when swallowing. Tx in advance four your answers.

As long as she is not complaining of extreme pain, I would just keep your appointment tomorrow...since she is not running a temp right now, I would just keep her well hydrated tonight and dose her with the tylenol to stop a rebound temp and reduce the sore throat pain.
The yellow-ish spots could be drainage of phlegm or signs of strep, but it's hard to tell without seeing the 'spots'.
Glad you already have the MD appt. tomorrow, it'll be nice that someone takes a peek up close & personal and can diagnose the situation right away.
