Don't worry about it unless it's causing you alot of pain... I recently got my tonsils taken out, and believe me, you DONT want to do that if you dont have to. haha it hurts terribly bad for weeks and you cant eat or drink anything after the surgery because of the pain

Those are just your tonsils or your uvula and if they aren't causing any discomfort then stop worrying about them. If they are red, or inflamed and causing pain then get an appointment with your doctor. It really is nothing to stress over

Okay, depends what it is. If there's two of them, its probably the tonsils, as the name would suggest, there's two of them. It's unlikely one would inflame by itself. If they are inflamed, its a tonsil infection - tonsillitis, which is normal, as the tonsils are like big rubbish sacks for your body to drop all the foreign waste from the blood off into. If its not your tonsils, that is, if it's not attached to the side of your throat, then i would suggest you get it looked at.Otherwise, leave them, or if they're painful get a course of antibios from the doctor.

It's not square, it's not your tonsils, and it does NOT need to come out. This is your uvula. A little dangly thing at the back of your throat that manages air flow from your nose and mouth and keeps you from breathing in food.

Your tonsils are on either side of it. Any more, doctors won't remove tonsils unless they are so chronically inflamed that they impede your breathing, especially at night. Sleep apnea is dangerous to your health. But, if you don't get sore throats or spit little globs of puss the doctor isn't going to talk to you.
