Lingual Tonsillitis







This video shows the apperance of prominent lymphoid tissue aggregations of the tongue base also known as lingual tonsils. The tiny whitish spots are sloughs tissue in the pits of its surface indicating an ongoing infection. Pain in the throat and upon swallowing are the usual presenting symptoms.
